Alexandra Z. Karagianni is Lawyer in Athens and Associate of the Law Firm since August 2019.
She is a graduate of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M - Master of Laws) with expertise in "Labour Law" from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She received her Master's degree by carrying out her thesis on "Harassment in the workplace under Greek and Comparative Law", which was published as a monograph by Publications of Nomiki Vivliothiki in 2023 under the subject "Harassment at work - Greek and Comparative Law" (ISBN: 978-618-08-0013-5).
She is a certified Data Protection Officer - DPO by TUV HELLAS.
Her experience is focused on both consulting and litigation in the fields of labour law (individual and collective labour law) and personal data protection.
She collaborates with employers and HR Departments on day-to-day employment law issues such as recruitment, employee requests, employee leaves, strategic advice, internal corporate policies for employees, the possibility for third country citizens to work in Greece (highly skilled employees - blue card, intra-company transfer, secondment, etc.), dismissals and employee severance, transfer of employment relationships. She also deals with the issues that arise daily in businesses such as inspections by the Labour Inspectorate and the National Social Insurance Body (e - EFKA) and she advises on the full compliance of businesses in case of an inspection to avoid administrative breaches.
She also consults on investigating reports of incidents of violence and harassment within companies.
She undertakes the overall monitoring of companies' compliance with all provisions of labour legislation (employment contracts, labour codes and regulations, designation of a Reporting Officer for whistleblowing reports, designation of a Reporting Person for incidents of violence and harassment, working time rules, health and safety at work, nondiscrimination, etc.).
Due to her certification as a DPO, she undertakes consulting for businesses on personal data issues, specializing in data protection in the context of the employment relationship.
Finally, she represents clients before civil and administrative courts.
