Areti Vlastou is a founding member and partner of the Law Firm since 01.08.2019. Before that, Areti was occupied, since 01.10.1999, as a senior associate, at the specialized in labor law, Law Office of Stylianos Germ. Vlastos.
Areti focuses on both consulting and litigation in the fields of labour law (individual and collective labour law, unions law and employers' organizations), civil law (commercial leases, purchase and sale of property, commercial and general contractual disputes, payment orders and seizures) and administrative law (social security law, administrative contracts).
Areti advises companies on individual and collective labour law issues, on issues of civil and trade union organisations and on civil, administrative and procedural law issues, and on the framework of Greek labor law, which arises in cases of mergers, acquisitions (M&A) and privatizations. She participates in negotiations for the drafting and signing of collective labour agreements, company employment policies and regulations, as well as before the Mediation and Arbitration Agency.
Areti is also specialized in tactical control / payroll audit (wages and salaries, social security, compensation, other labour costs and subcontractor fees, severance pay, Christmas & Easter bonuses, moral damages and invalid dismissals), in business transfers, restructuring of business units, collective dismissals, voluntary exits, employees’ secondment and intra-corporate transfers inside and outside EU, in advising HR departments mainly on bonus scheme issues, personnel appraisal systems and disciplinary law and in controlling of the application and violation of the General Data Protection Regulation as well as in solving day-to-day human resource management and employees relations problems, including disciplinary procedures.
Areti is collaborating with many Greek and foreign commercial enterprises, major companies and groups of companies in the energy sector (LPG, gas), cosmetics, clothing retail, security and facility services, IT, temporary employment agencies, motorway operators, railway services, technical and construction and industrial companies and has also worked with industrial property companies and public sector organisations.
Areti has also significant judicial experience in cases of labor, civil and administrative law.
She is an experienced accredited mediator in family, civil, commercial and labor cases.
